Obituary for Robert A Harvey
Robert, “Bob” Harvey of Greenville, NY, passed away on March 28th, 2022, at Garnet Medical Health Center, at the age of 79.
Bob was the son of the late Chauncey and Lucy Harvey of Otselic. He was a hard worker, that was employed by Dairylea, Regional Trucking, and Spindler Transport. In his free time he was busy taking his kids and their friends to Swinging Bridge Lake for water skiing lessons, playing softball on the front lawn, fishing, or hosting a block party. Later, he enjoyed traveling with his wife Mary, across the USA. He loved playing guitar with his friends, and enjoyed playing for nursing homes that he had been in. His favorite music was country and gospel. Bob had recently adopted a cat as a companion and she was his protector. Dolly became a member of the family and looked over him constantly. Bob was a member of the Johnson Fire Company, the Greenville Senior Center, and a member of Otisville
Presbyterian Church.
Bob is predeceased by his loving wife who cared for him during all of his health battles, Mary Harvey. Bob is survived by his Son, Brian Harvey, his wife Susan and Grandson Bret, Daughter, Pam Forestire, her husband Joseph and Granddaughter Taylor, His brother Ronald, Sister Marion, and sister Elsie , who had passed.
Brian and Pam would like to thank First Choice for their excellent care for Dad, and Doctor Singh from Crystal Run Heathcare, who Dad called “his buddy”. Their patience and care are exemplary!
Visitation will be held on Friday April 1st from 3-7 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral home, located at 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. Church service will be held on Saturday, April 2, at 10 am at Otisville Presbyterian Church located at 25 Main Street in Otisville,NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
