Obituary for Richard Schoen
Richard Schoen, a lifetime area resident of the area, died at home on December 23, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was 61 years old.
Rick was born on July 2, 1959 in Paterson, NJ to Norman and Nancy Schoen. He worked for many years at Yellow Freight in Maybrook. He was a huge NY sports fan who always rooted for the NY Yankees and NY Jets. Family was a priority for Rick, he stayed close to his siblings and his cherished daughter, Aleese. He was a grateful friend of Bill W’s for over 30 years and enjoyed being a part of his fellowship.
He is survived by his daughter Aleese and her fiancée Chris, a brother Donald Schoen and his wife Sue of Huguenot, sisters, Nancy Dunn and her husband Henry of Port Jervis, Judy Raymond, Joanne Schoen and Barbara Newell all of Middletown. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Christopher,Jackie, Caitlyn, Patrick, Keegan, Johnny, T.J., Kiara, Scott, Eric and great nieces and nephews Alexis, Christopher, Khole, Matthew, Lucas and Penelope.
Cremation will be private. Rick’s family will hold a Celebration of his Life at a later date.
