Raul Aguilar, beloved husband, father and grandfather, has passed away on February 28, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at home in Rock Hill, NY. He deeply cared and cherished his wife and family, in the good times and the bad. With our family stretched across the world, even distance couldn’t keep him away from his loved ones and was a constant presence.
The son of the late Luis and Teresa Cisneros Aguilar, he was born on December 6, 1934 in Ambato, Ecuador. Raul married Lina D. Cruz in 1959 in the city of Ambato. They moved to the New York area in 1977. Raul was a gifted tailor who worked in New York City until his retirement. He has been an integral member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and faithful member since 1990.
Survivors are listed in the following order: his wife Lina Aguilar. His children and their spouses, Cecilia and Jose Maldonado, Giovanni and Sonia Aguilar, Patricia and Edwin Pacheco, Nestor and Deisi Aguilar. His brothers Pedro, Luis, Rodrigo, Wilson, Adolfo and sister Martha. His grandchildren, Nestor, Jonathan, Andres, Joel, Christian, Priya, Daniel, Maya and Kirsi.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Sunday, March 4, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 5, 2018 at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
Memorial contributions in Raul's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Way, Memphis, TN 31805.
