Ralph Perretta ofNew Hampton, died on Sunday September 19 at Middletown, NY. He was 65.

The son of the late Edward and the late Adelaide Russo Perretta he was born on June 5, 1945 in Rockville Center, NY.

Ralph moved to the New Hamption area almost 29 years ago from Westbury, Long Island. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Ralph graduated from Marist College in 1967. He later married Jeanette Szarszewski in 1982 in Niagra Falls, NY. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown, American Legion Post 151 and the Slate Hill Pacers. Ralph also served his parish communty as a volunteer at both Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and School.

In addition to his loving wife, Ralph is survived by one son, Edward William and daughter Sandra Perretta, all at home; two sisters, Barbara Perretta of the Villages, FL ad Elizabeth Kennedy and her husband Joe of Long Island.

Visitation hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Friday, September 24, 2010 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middleotwn, NY 10940. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Military honors will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, cremation will be private.

Memorial contributions in Ralph's name may be made to either Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, Ny 12550 or to the Tucker Center for Cancer Care, 60 Prospect Avenue, Middletown, Ny 10940
