MIDDLETOWN, N.Y.
Ralph E. Meyer, a lifelong resident of Middletown, N.Y., passed away on Wednesday,April 16, at Elant in Newburgh, N.Y.. He was 92 yrs. old. Ralph proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946 where he became an accomplished machinist.
A building contractor and founder of Robinn Meadows Development on Pocatello Road in Middletown, He taught his sons Ralph and Roy his trade. Ralph enjoyed traveling, boating, hunting and especially fishing. He was also a longtime member of the Elks Lodge #1097 in Middletown.
He is survived by his son, Ralph and his wife Eva of Middletown, his daughter Jean Lloyd and her husband Tom of Bloomingburg, his son Roy and his wife, Patricia of Middletown and his son Robinn in the care of AHRC at Brady IRA in Newburgh; his grandchildren,Chris Lloyd, Karin Bauer, Mickey Lloyd Fried, Steven Meyer, Eric Meyer and Dina Tice; as well as great grandchildren: Shelby, Rebecca, Brianna, Alexis, Gavin, Brant, Ava and Luke. He was predeceased by his brother, George Rumsey and his grandson, Craig Foster.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 pm on Wednesday, April 23 with services by the Elks at 6:30 pm. The funeral will be held at 11 am on Thursday April 24 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Middletown.
