Obituary for Phyllis Mangieri
Phyllis Mangieri, a longtime resident and beloved homemaker, died on September 14, 2022, after a brief illness
at Garnet Medical Center with family at her side.
She was 76 years old.
The daughter of Alphonse and Amy Duran Maes, she was born on April 2, 1946 in Trinidad, Colorado.
Shortly after her graduation from High School and Beauty School, she married her military sweetheart in 1968 in
Colorado. Together they raised two children and eventually were gifted with five grandchildren and two greats!
Phyllis was devoted to her family and always took advantage of anytime she could get with the children.
She will be remembered for her love of her home and loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” at home, her children; Jeffrey of Lexington, MA, Dana and her husband Carl of Redondo Beach, California, as well as her cherished grandchildren; Richard, Andreanna, Alexandra, Reese, Olivia and greats; Leah and Aubrey.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers; Robert and Dennis.
Visitation will take place from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home. A Service of Remembrance will take place at 6:30 pm at the Funeral Home.
Cremation will be private and at the convenience of
the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, N.Y.
