Obituary for Phyllis J. LaBelle
On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, Phyllis J. LaBelle, loving wife, mother and beloved grandmother went to rest with the Lord. She was 78 years old.
Phyllis was born on December 5, 1944 to Nora and Fred Weeks in Middletown, N.Y. She graduated from Middletown High School and proceeded to start her career in the health care field at Valley View where she retired after 37 years of service, providing care and love to the residents and staff.
Phyllis married twice and has three amazing sons that she loved dearly: Darryl and Wayne Watkins and Charles LaBelle. She was an artist and creative spirit who loved her craft sales and yard sales and painting. Her love of the Lord was inspirational to all. She loved to help out in her church by providing food or crafts to help. She held her beautiful grandchildren in her heart and mind always. She was her sister’s care giver and provided for her sister who will miss her dearly. She enjoyed weed whacking her property and you could catch her outside where she admired nature. Phyllis was a sweet, loving, gentle lady who always had a smile on her face and a loving heart. She will be missed.
Phyllis J. LaBelle was preceded by her husband, Victor LaBelle and her mother and father as well as three of her siblings. She is survived by her loving children; Darryl and his wife Annie, Captain Wayne and his wife Rosie Watkins and Charles and his wife Jannette LaBelle. She leaves behind her sister Doris Caston and all her beloved grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 5-7pm.
