Phillip Matthew Young, Jr., a lifetime area resident, died unexpectedly on April 19, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 19.
The son of Jamie Young and the late Phillip M. Young, Sr., he was born on July 12, 1997 in Middletown, NY. Phillip went to Valley Central Schools, grew up in his family’s business, and worked for Affordable Paving in Montgomery. Phillip was a hard worker and was always respectful. He was quiet but outgoing. Along with his family, he was a member of Family Church in Middletown, NY.
He is survived by his loving Mother, Jamie Young and his sister, Christine A. Young at home; his maternal grandparents, James and Nancy Young and his girlfriend, Nicole; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Phillip M. Young, Sr. in 2009.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 22nd at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Pastor Byrant Vasquez will officiate. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 23rd in the family plot in Hamptonburgh Cemetery.
