Philip R. Friedle, Sr., 78, of Middletown, NY, entered into rest on Monday, March 20th, at home with his family.
Phil was born on August 23, 1944 in Newburgh, NY. He was the son of George R. Friedle, Sr. and Hilda M. Carlstrom.
Phil had served in the Navy and the Knights of Columbus. Phil was a jack of all trades. He was co-owner of Starr Block Co. and P & P Patio. In retirement, he repaired small engines.
Phil’s passions were family genealogy and the Catholic Church. He enjoyed sharing old stories about family. Phil was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Phil is survived by his wife Judee Coscia of Middletown, NY. Daughters: Susan (Lou) Califana of Newburgh, NY, Theresa (Ray) Tenhagen of Cornwall on Hudson, NY, Tiffany (Tim) McVey of Oakhurst, NJ, Desiree (Dominick) Siracusa of New Hampton, NY and Cher (Brian) Hickey of Middletown, NY. Sons: John (Susan) Friedle of New Paltz, NY, Philip Jr. (Anne) Friedle of Middletown, NY and Benjamin (Christina) Friedle of Portland, OR. Siblings: Regina James of New Windsor, NY and George Friedle Jr. of Newburgh, NY. Seventeen grandchildren and Seven great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
His parents, brother Richard, and granddaughter Amy preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 11 am to 12:45pm on Friday March 24, 2023 at Applebee McPhillip’s Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Middletown, NY at 1pm on Friday March 24, 2023. Burial will be private.
