The daughter of the late George and Amelia Bechtoldt Guenther, she was born on August 9, 1945 in Pitman, New Jersey. She met her future husband, Stanley Paduch in March of 1965 while she was traveling with a group of her nursing school friends and he with a group of fellow Marines. They began a long distance courtship while she finished school and he finished his time in the service. During that time, they exchanged letters and saw each other whenever they had the chance to get away. They eventually married on May 27, 1967 and moved to Middletown. She held a job as a nurse in various settings over the years. She worked in the operating room at Arden Hill early on in her career. She was the school nurse at Minisink Elementary. She also worked at Mid Hudson Psych Center and Samaritan Village. She loved her job and did it with compassion. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her sweet disposition and her kind and caring heart. She adored her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Paula enjoyed family vacations and spending time with those she loved.
She is survived by her son, Keith Paduch of Boise, ID and her two daughters, Jennifer and her husband Zachary Serrano of Walden and Jessica and her husband Paul Munding of Westtown. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Connolly of Annapolis, MD and four grandchildren, Jocelyn, Ava, Elaina, and Matthew and several nieces and nephews.
Paula was predeceased by her beloved husband Stanley on October 5, 1988
