Obituary for Paul A. Schupp
Paul A. Schupp, a lifetime area resident, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 at home surrounded by his family.  He was 92 years old. The son of the late Jacob A. and Julia A. Cohalan Schupp, he was born April 16, 1914 in Middletown. Paul was a member of the Knights of Columbus council #486, past member of Middletown Elks Club, and a past member of the South Fallsburg Lions Club.  He also volunteered for SCORE, was the past treasurer of the Middletown Historical Society, as well as the past president of the Fallsburg Fishing and Boating Club. Paul is survived by his daughters. Sharon S. Smith and her husband, Leal, of Rochester, Paula S. Wells of Middletown; four grandchildren, Christine Frederick, Grant Smith, Greg Wells, Caryn Luccketti; and two great grandchildren Mark and Jessica. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Doris on September 1, 1997. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, February 27th from 4 to 7 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 28 at 11am at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown.Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Montgomery, NY.

The family expresses gratitude for the support and care given by hospice and respectfully requests that memorial contributions in Paul’s name may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.Arrangements under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
