Obituary for Patrick W. Reardon
Patrick W. Reardon of Middletown, NY passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 with his loving family at his side. He was 77 years old.
Patrick was born in Paterson, NJ and was the son of the late William and Marie Reardon. He attended Central High School in Paterson, NJ and graduated from Clifton (NJ) High School. He also attended Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Patrick enjoyed a long and accomplished career in the construction materials industry. He worked for the former Samuel Braen Companies of New Jersey. Patrick served in several capacities within the Braen Companies and rose to general manager of the firm. He then joined Sullivan Highway Products in Monticello as President, retiring in 1988. Patricks dedication to the industry was demonstrated by his service as President of the New Jersey Ready Mixed Concrete Association, the Empire State Concrete and Aggregate Producers Association and the New York State Asphalt Pavement Association.
Patrick was also an avid fisherman, voracious reader and loyal fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Mets. He was proud of his service in the United States Navy, Having served as a radio operator on the USS Virgo AKA-20 Cargo Attack Ship in the years immediately following WWII.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife Lois, sons Patrick W. Reardon, Jr of Valatie, NY, Keith Louis Reardon of Bloomingburg, NY, Sean Patrick Reardon of Andover, MA and a daughter, Sharon Allogramento of Summit, NJ. Patrick very much loved his six grandchildren, Philip W. Allogramento III of Summit, NJ, Adam Patrick Allogramento of Summit, NJ, Hallie Nicole Reardon of Bloomingburg, NY and Conner Patrick, Ryan Farrell and William Sterling Reardon all of Andover, MA. His daughters-in-law Elizabeth M. Reardon of Valatie, NY, Susie G. Reardon of Bloomingburg and Deidra A. Reardon of Andover, MA, and son-in-law Philip W. Allogramento, Jr. of Summit, NJ also survive him.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, March 31 from 6-9pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 11am at St. Pauls United Methodist Church, Middletown.
Burial will follow in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY. Donations in Patrick’s name may be made to St. Pauls United Methodist Church, 58 West Main St., Middletown, NY, 10940
