Obituary for Patricia Snyder
Patricia Snyder
November 10, 1930- April 23, 2014
Middletown, NY
Patricia Snyder, a longtime Middletown resident, died peacefully on April 23, 2014 at Orange Regional Medical Center from a rare form of Parkinson's-(PSP) Progressive Nuclear Palsy. She was 83.
The daughter of Maude and George Bergeron, she was born on November 10, 1930 in Vermont. She married William A. Snyder, who predeceased her in 1980. She worked for Big V Supermarkets as a cashier until her retirement.
In her day, Mom was a dedicated mother raising 5 children almost single handedly and was a superb cook. Those who knew her always benefitted from her culinary expertise. Mom loved having her family together especially for the holidays when her home was filled with laughter and fun. Patty was a feisty, strong-willed individual with a loving heart and a caring, generous soul. Mom, although you have sacrificed much in your life for your children, your demonstration of unconditional love is a testimony to all who knew you. You will be greatly missed...everyday!
She is survived by her five children; William Snyder and daughter, Victoria
Keith Snyder and his wife, Faith and children, Courtney, Kristen, Jimmy, Crystal
Jacqueline Snyder-Allen and her husband, Thomas E. Allen, and children Samantha and Carley Allen, Mark Snyder and Wife, Dr. Lily Snyder and children Joy and Amber
Michael T. Snyder and daughters Delaney and Gracie; daughter-in-law, Stacie Tava;
sister, Jacqueline and David Howard; Great Grandchildren: Krista & Christian Rosen; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Patricia was predeceased by nine siblings; sisters, Eileen Pryce, Daisy (Marge) Seeber, Beatrice Rogers, Rose (Barbara) Kelly, Loretta May Bergeron, Mary Bergeron, and brothers, Thomas, Robert (Bobby), Maurice, Paul, and John (Jack) Bergeron.
Patricia’s family would like to thank the staff on 2 North Oncology of ORMC . No words can express how wonderful, caring and the genuine outpouring of affection and comfort they showed mom during her last moments on this earth.
