Patricia (Pat) Hedderton

Patricia (Pat) Hedderton, a longtime resident of Middletown passed away on October 7, 2024 at Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare in the Town of Wallkill, NY. She was 87.
The daughter of the late John and Madeline Sweeney Carroll, she was born on December 30, 1936 in the Bronx, NY.
She married Stephen A. Hedderton Sr. in 1962 and they started their family together shortly after. They moved to Orange County in 1965.
She is survived by her son Stephen A. Hedderton Jr. and his wife Susanne, her grandson Scott Hedderton, her grandson Andrew Meier and his wife Katie, and her great grandchildren Maverick and Madison Meier.
She is also survived by her longest and dearest friend Joan Montgomery, as well as her sister-in-law Corinne Hedderton Kilduff, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hedderton is predeceased by her husband Stephen, her parents and in-laws, her great grandson Dylan Andrew Meier, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pat began her career at NBC Television and Radio and held a number of administrative assistant positions before retiring in 2008 as the deputy registrar for the City of Middletown.
She was a die-hard football fan and enjoyed spending her weekends watching her favorite teams – Army West Point, Notre Dame, and the New York Giants.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Dinsmore for his many years of care and friendship to our mother.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Ave, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial will follow in the family plot in the Wallkill Cemetery.
