Obituary for Patricia Palmer
Patricia Palmer, a lifetime resident of Middletown and retired health care worker, died on February 13, 2023 after a lengthy illness at home, surrounded by her family. She was 70.
The daughter of Arthur and Marion Wood Bunton, she was born in Middletown on August 5, 1952.
Her very favorite place was her home and even though she enjoyed shopping and eating out. We know that she was happiest in her own environment. In earlier days, she traveled with her husband and they were known for their barbeque cook-outs with family and friends.
Patricia is survived by her devoted daughter, Melissa Smykla, her son, Gregory and his significant other, Michelle Bennett and her sister, whom she cherished, Carol Terwillger and brother Arthur Bunton. She loved her precious grandchildren; Griffin, Jacob, Wyatt, Matthew as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Ronald F. Palmer in 2014, their daughter, Kimberly Grubiak in 2017 and her beloved grandson, Joshuah.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 6-8 pm with a Celebration of Life at 7 pm
with Ed Madson.
Burial of cremains will be in the Orange County Veteran’s Cemetery on Friday, February 17, 2023
At 2:00 pm.
