Patricia L. Beuerman, a lifetime area resident, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in Slate Hill, NY. She was 55.
The daughter of Margaret “Liz” Collins Smith and the late Joseph Smith, she was born on May 13, 1958 in Goshen, NY. Patricia worked for Mid-Oaks Children’s Academy in Monroe, NY. She was a woman of faith who was a longtime member of Grace Community Church in Washingtonville, NY. She loved children and worked for the church nursery for years. She will be remembered as an excellent Grandma, she adored her grandchildren and carried and displayed their pictures proudly. She had a good sense of humor and enjoyed being around her family.
Patricia is survived by her three children, James and his wife Jennifer of Bloomingburg; Kelly Sullivan and her husband Patrick of Westtown and Sara Sullivan and her husband Shaun of Florida, NY; one brother, Mark Smith and his wife Fay of Burbank, CA; three sisters, Barbara Smith-Brown and her husband Steve of Millburn, NJ, Linda Siebuhr of Rock Hill, SC and Debbie Alton and her husband Todd of Hubbardsville, NY; and her beloved grandchildren, Catharine, Erin, Keegan, Reagan, Shaylin, Jase, and Liam, and her mother-in-law Catherine Beuerman of Slate Hill.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 am on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 am on Saturday at the funeral home, rev. Abe Dueck will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgebury Cemetery in Slate Hill, NY.
Memorial contributions in Patricia’s name may be made to the UFA Widow’s and Children’s Fund, 204 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010.
