Patricia M. Kerr, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died on June 25, 2014 at Orange Regional Medical Center with her loving family at her side. She was 87.
The daughter of the late John and Sarah McGonigle McDermott, she was born on May 23, 1927 in New York City. Patricia married James Kerr on May 28, 1949 in the Queens and they lived in the Bronx. James predeceased her on September 16, 1993. Patricia was all about family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren filled her life with wonderful memories and loved trips to Altantic City. She was also a big ice cream fan; proudly giving it up for lent (the whole 40 days).
She is survived by her three daughters, Laura Jean Conrad and her husband Richard of Palm Coast, Fl, Rose Mary Lancellotti and her husband James and Mary Ellen Cook and her husband Kevin all of Middletown; and her eight cherished grandchildren, Christine, Rickie, Christine, Jessica, Melissa, Katie, Tracy, and Michael and her great-grandchildren, Sienna, Molly Rose, Ryan , Emily and Carli.
Besides her husband , she was predeceased by one sister, and four brothers and one sister-in-law. Visitation hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, Rt. 17K, Bullville, NY 10915. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Raymond’s Cemetery in the Bronx.
Memorial contributions in Patricia’s name may be made to the Lay Carmelite Office, P.O. Box 3079, Middletown, NY 10940
