Patricia Hogan, a longtime resident of Middletown and ultimate homemaker and volunteer, died after a short illness at Garnet Medical Center on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
Pat was the daughter of Paul and Mae Ansbury and was born in New York City on September 8, 1943.
She loved to cook and was a warm and inviting hostess. Her Catholic faith was foremost in her life. She fished, traveled, participated in many programs and organizations, including a member of St. Joseph’s Church, the Neighborhood Watch Committee, Town of Wallkill Youth Coalition, Horton Hospital volunteer, Circleville Fire Auxiliary and was an advocate for anyone who needed help of any kind. She was truly a “good neighbor.” She was a hard worker, an avid Yankees fan and cherished her family.
Patricia is survived by her husband, John, at home, her four children; Francis Hogan (Stacey) of Middletown, Patricia Van Zuuk (Raymond) of Garrison, NY, Philip S. Genetempo (Charlene) of Cumming, GA., John S. Hogan (Christine) of St. Petersburg, FL. And her little dog, Sophia. Her 8 grandchildren; Michael, Nicholas, Dylan, Jace, Katie, James and Emilee, as well as one great-grand, Juliette.
She was pre-deceased by her granddaughter, Tabitha Hogan and her sister, Louise Ansbury.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home from 3-7pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 11am at the Church of St. Joseph, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
