Obituary for Patricia Anne Elliott
Patirica Anne Kubik Elliott
March 25, 1944-April 19, 2018
Middletown, NY
Patty Elliott, a lifelong resident of the area, went on to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 74 years old.
One of John F. Kubik and Genevieve Kowalewski Kubik’s six children, she was born on March 25, 1944 in Florida, NY. A retired MHTA from the Middletown Psychiatric Center and HVDDSO, she had over 20 years of service to NYS.
She was a proud and loving Mother, foster mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. We never doubted her impartial love, forgiving nature or even her “secret” chicken cacciatore recipe. She was a generous, selfless, remarkable woman that shared her love and her home with all in need.
She is survived by her sister, JoAngela “Rinky” (Ricky) Lester of Macon, GA; her children, Anne Marie “Ame” Elliott, Angela Denise “Angie” Mack, Patricia Dee “Tricia” Elliott, all of Middletown, Donald Patrick “Donnie” (Rebecca) Elliott of Howells, Dawn Marie “Dawnie” Vega-Bragg of Bloomingburg and Alice Talmadge Greene of Zephyrhills, FL. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Summer Renee (Michael) Jakaitis, Torie Patrice (Shane) Sidley, Kelsey Marie Mack, Jack Thomas Bragg, Donald Jeremiah Elliott, Aidan Jacob Elliott and her great-grandchildren, Weston Paul Jakaitis and Reagan Marie Sidley, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Caroline Kubik, Lorraine (Art) Wagner, Lucretia (Stanley) Glebocki, her brother John T. Kubik and special nephew Robert A. Kubik, and the father of her children, Donald E. Elliott.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Her family would like to thank all the caring staff at ORMC, the dedicated physicians and hospitalists at Crystal Run Healthcare, especially Dr. Tal Ronen, Dr. Geoffrey Hulse and Dr. Peggy Nelson and the dedicated staff of Good Samaritan Homecare, especially Fatima and Noreen for all the years of care helping Patty.
As Patty gave to all, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Guild of St. Margaret Soup Kitchen, 12 Depot Street, Middletown, NY 10940.
Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. www.applebee-mcphillips.com
