Patricia A Culver of Middletown, NY, died on Thursday August 18th, 2022 at home with her loving family at her side. She was 86.
The daughter of the late Arnold and Bertha (Graves) Voorhees, she was born October 20th 1935 in Dayton, New Jersey.
Patty married Charles W. Culver Sr. in 1955 and shared 64 years of marriage together. Before retiring in 1997, she worked at Interceram and Repo-Med factories in Middletown. She was a retired member of the Mechanicstown Fire Department ladies auxiliary.
Her interests and hobbies included a love of books and crocheting. She was also an avid bird watcher and loved a good yard sale. She was a devoted Elvis Presley fan; which showed in the collection of Elvis merchandise she displayed throughout her home. She loved country music and especially loved to listen to her husband play guitar and sing.
Her final days in this life were filled with love and support. She was loved by all who were lucky enough to know her. Her passion for life, family and Faith were infectious. She loved to talk about her children and grandchildren and was so proud of them. Although the pain of losing her is unbearable, there is comfort in knowing that she is finally reunited with Charles, her best friend and love of her life.
She is survived by her children Bonnie O'Donnell, Charles W Culver Jr and his wife Sandy, and Karen Palmer and her husband Michael Sr. Two brothers David Voorhees and Charles Voorhees. As well as six grandchildren Michael a Palmer Jr and his wife Geraldine, Brian Palmer and his wife Erin, Charles W (Chaz) Culver III and his wife Gretchen, Kaycie O'Donnell, Justin Palmer, and Jason Palmer. Three great-grandsons Noah Palmer, Forrest Palmer and Dylan Palmer, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, devoted husband Charles W Culver Sr., two brothers Arnold Voorhees, and Richard Voorhees, and son-in-law William O'Donnell.
Visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue. Middletown N.Y. 10940.
A graveside service will follow at 12:30 pm at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen New York 10924
