Obituary for Patricia Ann Clark
Patricia Ann Clark, a lifetime resident of Middletown, died unexpectedly after a year-long illness on June 16, 2021 at Garnet Medical Center. She was 70 years old.
The daughter of Dominick and Ann Annese, she was born in Middletown in June 1950. She graduated from Middletown High School and Orange County Community College. Her more than 30-year career in public service as a business manager included positions with the N.Y.S. Division for Youth and the Office of Children and Family Services in Goshen and Middletown.
Patty married Charles L. Clark on April 18, 1986 in Middletown and together they celebrated 35 years of a loving marriage. When they married, both brought children from previous marriages with them and this union provided for a new and lasting extended family.
Patty was a social butterfly and made friends everywhere she went. While she enjoyed meeting and talking to new people, she loved her lifelong friends and still spoke to so many on a regular basis. She was known for her kindness and her compassion toward others. She was a great listener, gave sound advice and made everyone around her a better person. In 2009, she took the trip of a lifetime to Italy with friends and before that, she traveled with her husband every year to a different Caribbean island or boarded a cruise ship for adventures with groups of friends.
Patty is survived by her devoted and loving husband Charlie, and their children, including Jennifer Givner and her wife Jara Traina of Albany, Diana (Dee) Pignatelli of Middletown, Linda and her husband Joe DeStefano of Middletown, Michael Clark of Littleton, NC, Maria and her husband Randy Blose of Glen Spey as well as many grandchildren; Alex and Fiona Givner, Danielle and her wife Amanda Tagliaferro, Dereck Pignatelli, Nicole and her husband Michael Psarakis , Alessandra and her husband Jordan Christie, Dustin Clark and his wife Jennifer, Brennan Clark, Jacob Clark, great grandchildren; Elijah, Brayden, Emanuel, Rosalia, and many, many friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 21, 2021 at the Applebee McPhillips funeral home from 11 A.M. to noon with a service remembrance immediately following.
Donations may be made to the Middletown Humane Society in her memory.
Cremation will be private with the family.
