Obituary for Patricia A. Truex
Patricia A. Truex of Greenville, NY, a longtime resident of the area, lost her life in a tragic car accident on October 6, 2006. She was 43 years old. Pat was born in California and migrated to the area with her family several years later.  She lived in Orange County for 37 years. She attended Keuka College in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, earned her Master’s Degree from the City College of New York, and devoted over 20 years of her life to the young people of Middletown as a Special Education teacher of Mathematics at Middletown High School. Pat loved young people, the beauty of the natural world, travel, her friends and colleagues, and her large extended family. She was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church of Middletown, and was proud to contribute to the church’s community of faith. Pat leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Gregory and Dawn Truex of Middletown, and her many friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout the region. She will be deeply missed. Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family. A Memorial service will take place on Saturday, October 14th at 1 pmat First Prebyterian Church, 25 Orchard Street in Middletown.  Memorial contributions in Pat’s name may be made to The Music Fund, First Presbyterian Church, 25 Orchard Street, Middletown, NY 10940.Arrangements under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
