Obituary for Patricia A. Feely
Patricia A. Feely, a longtime resident of Middletown, died after a lengthy illness at Garnet Regional Hospital on March 21, 2021. She was 82 years old.
The daughter of John and Mary McHugh Walker, she was born on March 23, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. Pat married Francis Feely on November 29, 1958 in Brooklyn and together they raised four children. They celebrated nearly 45 years of marriage together when Frank died in 2003.
During her lifetime, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for Atlantic Service as well as a secretary for the FBI. In the 1990s, Pat and Frank settled in the Middletown area.
Pat was a devout Catholic and a dedicated member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Bloomingburg. Pat had enormous and unwavering faith in her God that helped her navigate all of life's trials, including the tragic loss of her son Francis on 9/11/2001 at the World Trade Center collapse.
She was an avid reader and loved to dance, bowl, and take trips to Atlantic City. She enjoyed her friends at the senior center in PA. Pat loved to spend time with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved her and affectionately called her "Gigi".
Patricia is survived by her sons, Michael (Denise) of Middletown, Stephen (Donna) of Hawley, PA and daughter Alice of Middletown, as well as grandchildren Jennifer, Lauren, Stephanie, Michelle, Caitlin, Shannon, Samantha and Christopher and great-grandchildren, Justin and Lucas.
In addition to her husband Frank and son Francis, she was pre-deceased by her daughter-in-law Shelly Zabrowsky in 2019.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 26 from 4 to 7 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue. Middletown, NY 10940. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Bloomingburg, NY. Burial will follow in the family plot in Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
