Obituary for Norman A Brigham

Norman A. Brigham aka Norm 74 lived in New Hampton NY. He passed away peacefully March 24,2023 with his granddaughter and friends by his side. Norm was the son of the late Delmer U. Brigham and Helen Thomas Born December 6,1948 in NY. Norm was the youngest of 6 kids. He was a sea cadet and went to the New York school of printing. He served in the United States Navy and was part of the Seabees. He was stationed in Puerto Rico and is a Vietnam veteran. He was a past commander of the Gun Hill VFW post 272, where he met his wife Joan. Norm was a Free Mason, funny, smart, to the point and took no crap. He would take his shirt off his back for anyone in need. Norm was an outdoors type a person. He enjoyed hunting, cooking, gardening with his granddaughter and had a soft spot for animals. He loved his family, friends and get togethers. He is survived by his granddaughter Myra Gaarder her children Melissa and Matthew Gaarder, his cousin Robert and Kathy Fellows, sister-in-law Arline Brigham, 4 nieces, his 3 step kids, 11 grandkids and 6 great grandkids. Norm was predeceased by his late wife of 31 years Joan H. Brigham, brothers and sister Dorothy Staino, Walter, dell and Roy Brigham. 

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924 on April 11,2023 at 11am. Friends and family are welcome to join.
