Jeanne (“Mimi”, to many) was a warm, vibrant person who loved spending fun times with family and friends at her Wanaksink lake house and at her vacation home in Florida. She was happiest when surrounded by her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends, and always made everyone who visited feel welcomed. Jeanne had a passion for travel, visiting every state in the US with her husband of 61 years. She also traveled to far-off destinations like Thailand, Egypt, Europe, and Mexico with her travel friends, and remembered every detail of her travels well into her 90’s! She taught elementary school for 21 years, finding joy in helping children learn and forming lasting friendships with her coworkers.
A Memorial Service will be held at Applebee-McPhillips funeral home on Monday, October 10th from 10:00am-12:00pm.
