Noreen Sarah Costello of Middletown, died on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 at O.R.M.C., Arden Campus. She was 66.
The daughter of Norbert and Eileen Sempey Timmons, she was born on July 7, 1944 in the Bronx.She married William P. Costello on January 14, 1967 in the Bronx. Noreen was a proud graduate of Bellvue School of Medicine in NYC. She worked as a registered nurse for Camp Laguardia, NYS Correctional Facilities and Middletown Community Health Center before her retirement.
She is survived by her loving husband William Costello at home; her children, William and his wife Joy of Nunda, NY, Christopher and his wife Maureen, Elizabeth Harris and her husband Jeff, Patrick and his wife Amanda all of Middletown and Matthew Costello and his wife Nancy of Sparrowbush. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Katelyn, Liam, Siobhan, Aidan, Connor, Tommy, Tess, Griffin, Treven and Ryan.
Visitation hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Middletown. In lieu of flowers, Noreen's family requests donation in her name to be made to Middletown Thrall Library, 11 Depot Street, Middletown, NY 10940.
