Ninette M. Estrada was called home to God on Thursday, October 27th at the age of 73, after a long health battle. Ninette was born on April 17th, 1949 in the Bronx, a lifetime Yankee fan and a New Yorker through and through. If you knew her from the Bronx, you might have known her as Blondie.
Ninette lived for her family and helping others. She started her career at Horton Hospital in the late 80’s getting her foot in the door as a pharmacy technician. Soon after, she was hired as a unit clerk where she remained for over 20 years, helping patients and comforting families all while making lifelong friends with the staff. She retired at the age of 65 with a surprise party thrown by her daughters and at that party she danced and laughed and danced some more.
Ninette was the absolute hands down best mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, wife and best friend anyone could ask for. She took care of her mother until the end and we’re proud to say that her first daughter, Jessie did the same for her.
Although 73 years could never seem like enough time with one of the most amazing humans on this earth, it was time for her to join the many people who she loved that had passed before her. She is predeceased by her mother Inez “Mita” Noriega, her little brother Sukito, her older sisters Iris and Angie and her first grandson Julian Wolf Rivera and her first great grandchild who never graced this earth, Jellybean.
Ninette leaves behind her husband Luis “Ben” Estrada, her three loving children and their partners, Jorgie & Karyn, Jessie & George and Jizelle & Danielle. Ninette also leaves behind her grandchildren Nikoliza, Adrianna, Jahred and Monique as well as two great grandchildren Jace Michael and Cameron George Rivera. There just isn’t enough space to list all of the names who have been impacted by Ninette’s positivity and light.
Ninette leaves behind so many people that love her and will miss her forever. She leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, love, and laughter that we will all cherish forever and until we meet again.
