Obituary for Nicholas J LaCatena
NICHOLAS J. LACATENA
June 9th 1999 – February 20th 2022
With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our sweet boy, Nicholas J. LaCatena. He tragically passed away on Sunday February 20th, 2022 in Middletown N.Y. Nicholas was 22 years old. Nicholas was born on June 9th, 1999 in Newburgh N.Y to Dina LaCatena and Martin LaCatena. Nicholas graduated from Middletown High School in 2017. His passion was to become an electrician. He continued his education and graduated from Lincoln Tech in Bergen County, N.J. He was employed by Prestige Electric Co. in Port Jervis, N.Y. What we will miss most is the kind hearted, silly, lovable, smiling young man that had a heart of gold and cared more for others.
Nicholas loved playing video games, listening to music, hanging out with his brother Tyler – his best friend, and most of all, spending time with family.
Survivors include his mother, Dina M. LaCatena of Campbell Hall, N.Y; his father Martin LaCatena of Harvest, AL (fiancé Carrie O’Connell), brother Tyler, uncles, aunts, grandparents, and cousins. Nicholas was also predeceased by his Aunt Danielle L. Dandorf, cousin Dante LaCatena, Uncle Gino LaCatena, and great grandmother Josephine LaCatena.
Visitation will be held on February 28, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00pm at Applebee- McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave in Middletown, NY. Services will be held on Tuesday March 1, 2022 at Transformation Church, 160 Blumel Road in Middletown N.Y. at 11:00am.
