Naomi Seeley
DOB: 8-27-40 DOD: 5-24-2024
From: Otisville, NY Residing: Middletown, NY
Naomi Seeley, 83, passed away on May 24, 2024 in her home with her family by her side in Middletown, NY. A beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, Naomi was loved by everyone that met her.
Naomi was the youngest of six siblings, born in Brooklyn, NY on August 27, 1940 to Amada and Manuel Tarrio. The Tarrio family moved to Otisville, NY in the early 1950's where Naomi would finish high school, being voted Best Looking, Best Dancer, Best Dressed and Most Popular of her graduating class. She met her husband, Ray, in September of 1960 while working at the telephone company and they married the following September.
Naomi spent most of her time with the ones she loved, her family was her greatest accomplishment. Whether it was traveling with her family or traveling to see them. She always prioritized her kids, her grandkids and then her great grandkids. Naomi just genuinely enjoyed people’s company. She was constantly entertaining friends up at Yankee Lake, in Florida and in their home in Middletown. Playing games, telling stories and listening to music. If she didn’t have someone at the house, she’d be on the phone checking in with them. Up until the day she passed, Naomi had people from all over coming to say their goodbyes. Her kind heart and sweet nature will be her legacy.
Naomi is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Chester “Ray” Seeley, their two children Ken Seeley and his husband Eric McLaughlin, daughter Karen Shoemaker and her husband Wayne Shoemaker; three granddaughters and their husbands, Naomi and Jonas Bürger, Kassy and Brandon Brino and Brittany and Matt Krenski; four great grandchildren, Noah, Mia and Sophia Bürger and Sawyer Brino; her older sister, Sara Clausman, along with countless nieces, nephews and friends, all who loved her dearly. Her absence will be felt by all who knew her.
