Nancy M. Schwander, a retired secretary for Orange County Dept. of Social Services, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Highland Manor in Middletown. She was 82.
Nancy was a warm and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, who will be missed by many.
The daughter of the late Ernestine Osterhouse, Nancy was born on October 14, 1930 in New York, N.Y. She married Richard W. Schwander, who predeceased her in 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Schwander-Padilla and her husband Joseph of Middletown; her three beloved grandchildren, Joseph, Nick and his wife Kati, and Kalie, great-grandchild Kolton as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family.
