Michael G. Radigan (1960 - 2020)
Michael Gerard Radigan, 60, of Middletown, NY passed unexpectedly on December 3rd, 2020 at Westchester Medical Center.
He was born in New York, NY, to parents (deceased) John J. (“Jack”) Radigan and Frances T. Radigan (nee Murphy). Michael graduated from Columbia University in 1982, Columbia Law School in 1985, and married the love of his life Clare Radigan (nee McAuley) in 1988 in Brooklyn, NY.
Michael was a loving son, brother, husband, father, attorney, and best friend. Everyone who had the gift of knowing him immediately was met with his seemingly permanent smile, his wry sense of humor, and his gentle demeanor. He was a writer whose fluency and erudition were enviable, whose passion for justice and sense of dignity were respected and admired among many, and whose fierce love and loyalty to his family were known far and wide. Michael lived his life to the absolute fullest, traveling to Europe several times, learning new languages, excelling at chess, and diving head first into new adventures with his wife and daughter. To quote Shakespeare, a favorite of Michael’s, “May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest” - Hamlet
Michael’s love lives on through his beloved wife Clare, and his devoted daughter, Caroline (“Carrie”). He is also survived by his brothers, Brendan (and wife, Tricia) Radigan of North Kingstown, RI, Terence (and wife, Michele) Radigan of Edison, NJ; four nieces: Brigitte (and husband, Steve) Gladis and their sons, Sean and Owen of East Brunswick, NJ, Danielle Radigan of Seneca Falls, NY, Kathleen Radigan of Brooklyn, NY, Maura Radigan of Boston, MA and a nephew: Matthew (and wife, Terri Lynn) Radigan and their children, Caitlynn and Matthew of Edison, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, on Monday December 7, 2020 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Ave., Middletown, NY.
