Michael J. McCarroll, Jr. died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Elant at Newburgh, after a long illness. He was 82 years old.
He was born in the Bronx on September 20, 1931 to Anne McPartland and Michael J. McCarroll, Sr.Michael was a devoted husband and father. He studied for seven years in the Seminary and had a deep faith in the Lord. He was a lector and active member of St. Joseph's Church.
He is survived by his son, Dennis and his wife, Denise of Chester; two daughters: Bonnie Bliss and her husband, Steve of Monroe, Nancy Ciarelli and her husband, Vinnie of Bloomingburg; two grandchildren: Kristen Schnell, Vincent Clarelli and one great-grandson, Christopher, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Frank and his sister, Margaret McCarroll.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Elant for their compassion and care given to their father.
Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, October 16th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 17th at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's RC Church, with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 149 Cottage St. in Middletown.
Arrangements were entrusted to Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, October 16th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 17th at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's RC Church, with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 149 Cottage St. in Middletown.
