Obituary for Michael G. Marsicano
Michael G. Marsicano Jr. of Middletown died on Friday, April 21 at O.R.M.C. Horton Campus Middletown. He was 72.
The son of the late Madelyn Prezioso and Michael G. Marsicano Sr. he was born on May 9, 1933 in Bronx, N.Y.
Michael was the Director of Security for the Botanical Gardens in Brooklyn until his retirement. He married Mary Crookshank on July 13, 1985. Michael served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary at home; stepson, Rick Rolland and his wife Kathy of Hartsdale, and stepdaughter Susan Ancona of Bellmore; brothers, Louis Marsicano and his wife Marie of Ocala, Fla.; Ronnie and his wife Bertha of Daytona, Fla., Tony and his wife Correne of New Milford, Conn., and Ralph Marsicano Sr. of Middletown; sister-in-law Carmela Marsicano of Middletown; grandchildren Joey and Sal "Sonny" Anacone; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces.
Friends may call on Monday, April 24 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 25 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Avenue, Middletown.
Burial will follow in Orange County Veteran's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, 1000 Washington Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11225.
