Michael Coates, a lifetime area resident, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 25, 2012 in Wurtsboro. He was 41.
The son of Edwin and Kathie Donnelly Coates, he was born on February 3, 1971 in Goshen, NY. He loved the outdoors especially fishing and camping. He worked as a driver’s helper for Rowley Building Supply. He was a Nascar and a Raiders fan.
Michael is survived by his two daughters who were the lights of his life, Ashley and Melissa Coates of Texas; his companion, Christine Healy; mother, Kathie of Middletown; two brothers, Edwin and his companion Nancy German and Jim and his companion Cheryl; niece and nephews, Joe, Robert, Tyler and Sarah and many cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Blanche and George Mondello and his aunt, Juanita Vance.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 am on Tuesday, Sept. 4th at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. The funeral servicewill be held at 10:30 am on Thursday. Cremation will be private. www.applebee-mcphillips.com
