Melvin L Bullock of Middletown, died on Thursday March 17 at O.R.M.C., Arden Hill Campus in Goshen N.Y. He was 65.
The son of late Viola Lawrence he was born on May 26, 1945 in North Carolina. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Airforce until September of 1970.
He worked as a Lieutenant for NYS Corrections. He married Sharon Gunter on September 17, 2009.
In addition to his loving wife Sharon, at home; he is survived by his son Jamal and daughter Melva both of N.C.; stepchildren, Aaron and his wife Stephanie of Wurtsboro, Rosalyn of Ellenville and Tyarra of Middletown; grandchildren Janai and Tiana as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 am on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am at the funeral home. Pastor Bryant Vasquez will officiate. Burial with Military honors will follow at O.C. Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Rd, Goshen, NY.
