Obituary for Mei Yung Kwok
Mei Yung Kwok, a longtime resident of New York City and a devoted wife, mom, and grandmother, passed away after a hard fought extended illness in the comfort of her home on the morning of Thursday, February 4, 2021. She never gave up!
The daughter of the late Houzuo Guo and Damei Zheng, was born into a large family on November 16, 1948 in Fujian, China.
Mei loved cooking for her family and grow delicious vegetables in her garden for her family and shopping for her favorite shoes and she loved taking care of her beloved plants. She was loving and caring and absolutely adored her children and delighted in her grandchildren. She is kind and eager to help those in need.
She is survived by her husband, Po Fong Lam and her three cherished children, Chun Ling Lam of New Rochelle, NY, Sun Cheung Lam of San Diego, CA and Sun Kwong Lam of Medford, MA and her many grandchildren and her four siblings from NYC, Hong Kong and China.
The funeral to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 20201, at 10AM at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave, Middletown, NY 10940 with a burial following at 11:15 AM at the Wallkill cemetery, 160 Midway Road, Middletown, NY 10940, in the family plot.
