Maureen was the daughter of the late William and Catherine Lustig (Higgins) born on September 16, 1933, in the Bronx, NY. Maureen was married to the late Patrick O’Sullivan for almost 42 years. Maureen worked at Nyack Hospital for 25 years as a clerk.
She is survived by her daughters; Eileen Strysko (Thomas) of Swan Lake, NY, Geraldine MacIlvane (Richard), of Athens, TN,. Sons, Brian O’Sullivan (Diane) of Florida, NY, and William O’Sullivan (Joan), of Mt. Hope, NY. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren that called her GG. She is also survived by her Sister-in-Laws, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Grace Ann.
A Memorial Service will be held from 12-2 pm on Thursday September 30th, 2021, at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., with a Service of Remembrance at 1 pm, Fr. Mike Palazzo officiating. Burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery, 640 Saddle River Rd., Airmont, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Maureen’s name to: Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Cnty. Or the St. Judes Children Hospital.
