A longtime resident of Howells, NY, Mary Howell passed away on July 13, 2023. Mary was born in December 1936 in Ogdensburg, NJ and graduated from Middletown High School in the mid-1950’s. She was the loving daughter of the late William and Anna (Morris) Yanusaitus and was the youngest of eight siblings.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Herbert Howell and family including son Wayne and his wife Theresa of Howells, NY and her daughter Tracey and her husband Harry Rubinstein of Blooming Grove, NY. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Dawn, Brandyn and his wife Kathleen along with four great grandchildren, Katie Mae, Anna Belle, Samuel and Emma Jean. Mary leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mary was full of energy and rarely sat for a long period of time. She greatly enjoyed traveling and particularly enjoyed Hawaii where she spent time for many years. She also loved trips to Atlantic City and playing the slot machines. She will be greatly missed.
At Mary’s request, services will be private.
