Mary Hayden Kelleher, 87, died on November 28 at her home in Otisville, NY as the result of a stroke she suffered in 2002. She was the wodow of the late Grant Kelleher of Butte, Montana.
Mrs. Kelleher was born in Chevy Chase, MD, and graduated from Trinity College (now Trinity University) in Washington, DC in 1946. She worked for several years for Courtesy Associates, a business services company founded by one of her Trinity classmates. She moved to Orange County, NY in 1966. She worked for the State if New York as a vocational rehabilitation counselor until her retirement. She was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Otisville, and for many years was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her brothers Fr. Hilary Hayden and Dunstan Hayden of Washington, DC, James Hayden of Falls Church, Va and Martin Hayden of The Hills, TX, ive nieces, two nephews, and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.
Mrs. Kelleher has donated her remains to the Medical College of New York. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on January 14, 2012 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 45 Highland Avenue, Otisville, NY 10963. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Name Parish, and sent to P.O. Box 597, Otisville, NY 10963.
