Mary Frances Poplinski, a longtime area resident died Thursday, January 19, 2006 at Orange Regional Medical Center Horton Campus. She was 88 years old.
The daughter of the late John and Mary Frances Koubis Poplinski, Mary was born May 18, 1917 in Portland, CT.
A family statement reads, “Mimi, as she was known to her family and friends, had a great sense of humor and truly enjoyed life. Her hobbies included reading, watching movies, and playing bingo. She had a great love her family and animals.”
She was survived by her sister, Sophie Quinn of NewJersey; three nieces, Jean Walls and her husband, Thomas, of Rock Hill, Annamae Foreman and her husband, Patrick, Rosemarie Quinn and family; and several great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, January 22, 2006 from 1 pm to 4 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance will take place on Sunday, at 2 pm at the funeral home with Father Cyril Owambo officiating.
Cremation will take place at the convenience of the family.
