Obituary for Marlene R. Hoose
Marlene Hoose, a retired service representative for Bell South/AT&T, Fort Lauderdale, FL. passed away on July 8, 2022 at Buffalo Crossings Rehabilitation Center and Long Term Care, The Villages, Florida.
The daughter of the late Joseph and Emily Rossitto, Marlene was born, March 13,1932 in Rochester, New York. She spent the first half of her life in Middletown New York.
Marlene was a graduate of Middletown High School. Her careers included bookkeeper, LPN and later she became a certified Dental Assistant, working for many years with the late Dr. Ralph Decker. In the late 1970s Marlene moved to Florida.
Survivors include her fiancé Angelo Zanca, residing in The Villages, Florida.
Marlene’s children are daughter Diane Goddard and husband Dr. Stephen Goddard of Estes Park, Colorado, and her son Robert Hoose, Jr., of Boynton Beach, Florida.
Grandchildren are Jennifer Skeens, Dr. Erica Goddard, Emily Goddard, and Caitlin Goddard. Great grandchildren include Noah, Hannah and Aria.
Marlene is survived also by her sister NIna and her husband Oliver Griffin of Fort Myers, Fl.
Her brother Guy Rossitto is deceased.
Marlene was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Kiwanis Club and also a member of The Italian American Club of The Villages.
A family statement reads:
Marlene was a devoted mother and grandmother, an avid reader who enjoyed cross-stitching and playing bridge.
She was deeply loved by her fiancé, family and her many friends. The family wishes to extend a loving thank you to the staff of Buffalo Crossings Rehabilitation Center and Long Term Care and The Compassionate Care Hospice of Lake and Sumter.
Visitation hours will be on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.at the Applebee McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, New York.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. following visitation at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Mother Queen of Peace Mausoleum, St.
Joseph Cemetery 149 Cottage St Middletown, NY
There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Marlene in The Villages, FL., at a date to be
announced.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marlene’s name to Compassionate Care
Hospice of Lake and Sumter, 304 LaGrande Blvd., The Villages, Florida. 32159.
