Marjorie J. Diffendale, 85, went to be with the love of her life in heaven on October 5. She was surrounded by her loving daughters and Gini, her cat.
She was born May 12, 1936, to the late Harry and Alice Keating Allen. She married Richard Diffendale June 5, 1955. They met at the roller rink in Bloomingburg. She thought he was a show-off and she tripped him. He fell head over heels for her. They were married 58 years until his passing in 2013.
She is survived by her 2 daughters Deborah Orrio (Alan) and Sandra Butler, both of Middletown. Her 4 grandsons (her boys) William Butler Jr (Donna) of Cuddebackville, Bryan Orrio (Kara) of Port Jervis, Christopher Orrio(Amanda) of Apopka, Fl and Steven Butler of Middletown. Her great grandson (her boy) Michael Orrio and she was delighted to know she had another Great grandson due next month. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Services for Marjorie will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family would like to sincerely thank Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Cnty., especially her Nurse and caretaker Theresa, for her exceptional care and compassion.
