Middletown, NY

Marjorie E. Babula, a retired 25-year employee of Horton Hospital, died on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at O.R.M.C. She was 81.The daughter of the late LeRoy and Sophia Folberth Ogden, she was born on April 30, 1931in Middletown. Marjorie married John Babula on September 10, 1975 and they shared 34 years of marriage together, before his death in 2010.Marjorie was an old-fashioned mom who was a great cook, an avid baker and enjoyed sewing. She adopted her children and grandchildren's families as her own family. She was very generous and would have given the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Marjorie was a nice lady who was well respected by everyone. She loved all of her family very much and cherished her grandchildren.

Marjorie is survived by her sons: William T. Ogden and his wife, Barbara of Youngstown, OH, James Ogden and his wife, Delores of Waldoboro, ME and Stephen Ogden of Bethlehem, PA; daughters: Margaret Wiand of Arizona and Jennifer Winner and her husband Eddie, and their family: Kyle, Kacie and Kurt of Fair Oaks, NY; two brothers: Kenneth Ogden and Robert Ogden and his wife, Jane, all of Goshen; one sister, Janet Wade of Middletown; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10th, at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924.www.applebee-mcphillips.com
