Obituary for Marion Holohan
Marion Holohan, a lifetime resident of Middletown died, surrounded by her family January 2, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 91 years old. She was born on April 7, 1920 in Goshen, NY to the late Walter and Mary Powers White.
Marion loved her family but was especially attached to her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of the Middletown Neighborhood Watch,and a former committee person for the Democratic Organization in Middletown.
Marion is survived by her two sons R. Dennis and his wife Cindy of Middletown, and Daniel of Monsey, NY, two sisters Louise “Jiggs” Myruski of Goshen and Margaret Walling of Middletown, three grandchildren Wendy Holohan, Brian Holohan and Jennifer Holohan- Ferrer, and three great grandchildren Diego, Stella and Tyler, her devoted good friend Pat Meyer, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Thursday, January 5, at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave. Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel 90 Euclid St. Middletown at 11AM Friday January 6, Rev. Kevin Baldwin, her nephew; of Chicago will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Cottage St. Middletown.
