Middletown, NY
Marilyn M. Jones, beloved wife and mother, died following a courageous battle on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Kindred Hospital in Wayne, NJ. She was 75.
The daughter of the late William R. and Louise Comford Horton, she was born on August 12, 1941 in Newburgh, NY. Marilyn was a 1959 graduate of NFA. She married Everett “Ace” Jones on April 27, 1969 in Newburgh and they shared 47 wonderful years together. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Middletown.
She is survived by her loving husband Everett “Ace” Jones at home and her devoted daughter, Kim Tremper and her husband Phillip and one cherished granddaughter, Amelia. She is also survived by many caring family and friends.
She was predeceased by one brother, Raymond Horton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1st at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY 10940. A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will be held at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Rob Hewitt will officiate. Cremation will be private.
Memorial contributions in Marilyn’s name may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 58 West Main Street, Middletown, NY 10940.
