Marietta Simbajon Gordoncillo, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 84.
The daughter of the late Rosario Rogador and Tomas Simbajon, she was born on November 8, 1933 in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo in the Philippines. Marietta was a surgical technician for the Iloilo Mission Hospital in the Philippines for over 40 years. She moved to the United States to be with her daughter and her family.
Marietta is survived by her loving husband Ramon Gordoncillo; her sons Rae Gordoncillo and Jae Gordoncillo of the Philippines; her daughter, Mae Octaviano and her husband Roy of Middletown, NY; and brother Juanito Simbajon of the Philippines; Daughters in law: Mary Rose, Ruth and Shine. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jamae Gordoncillo,Ryan Rae and his wife Joannah Rose,Jamaica Octaviano,Jae Gordoncillo Jr and Mae Gordoncillo and Great grand daughter Zyanna Sofia.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Cremation will be private.
