Maria Lattanzio Zaino
Westtown, N.Y.
Maria Zaino of Westtown, N.Y. passed away peacefully in her home she shared with her daughter Camille, son-in-law Peter, granddaughter Rachele, grandson Ryan and great granddaughters,
Carrina and Isabella. She was 90 years old.
Maria was born on May 26, 1930 in Popoli, Italy to the late Vincenzo and Concetta Lattanzio. She married the love of her life, Odilio Zaino and came to America, settling in the Bronx, along with Odilio’s two young daughters, Donna and Camille.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna and her husband Angelo, Camille and her husband Peter; eight grandchildren: Christine and her husband Michael, Jennifer, Amanda and her husband Randy, Rachele. Michael and his wife, Ally, Jeremy, Vincent and Ryan; as well as eight great-grandchildren, Gianna, Joseph,Dylan, Brienna,Carrina, Alexis, Isabella and Vivian. She is also survived by her sister, Anna, sister-in-laws Eleanor and Lillian, and brother-in-law Dino and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Odilio, her siblings Pietro, Ava and Michelina, her sister-in-law Libby and her brother-in-laws Dave and Fred.
Visitation will be held on Monday March 8,2021 from 10a.m. -12 noon, with a Service of Remembrance at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Farley officiating at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley N.Y.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Especially to Kristin, Tamara, Kristy and Amanda.
