Obituary for Maria Iamiceli
Maria Iamiceli, a 28 year resident of Kissimmee, died Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in Florida. She was 87 years old. Daughter of the late Nicola Tarone and Albina Colangelo, she was born in Monteleone di Puglia, Italy on Feb 1, 1931.
She came to the United States on March 26, 1957 on the SS. Cristoforo Colombo. Maria found work as a seamstress at the Manhattan Shirt Corp and then Classic Case in Middletown. Maria was sporty, outgoing and loved people and her children.
She resided in Middletown with her husband and two children, until 1990 when they moved to Kissimmee Florida where she remained.
She is survived by her husband, David, and her children, Maria Alba McManus and David Jr. two grandsons, Jesse Ryan McManus , Daniel Shane McManus. She is also survived by her nieces Maria Concordia Zambri of Toronto, Canada, Alba Collarelli of Middletown, Maria Rampino of Foggia Italy, Antonia Collarelli of Viterbo, Italy; and a two nephews Nicola Tarone of Middletown and Antonio Rampino of Foggia, Italy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, April 23, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 140 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial will follow in the family plot in St Joseph’s Cemetery in Middletown.
