Margarita Zayas Rodriguez March 30, 2022 Middletown, NY
Born October 27, 1939 in Salinas, P.R. The daughter of Antonio and Beatrice Zayas.
She was an entrepreneur at heart working her way to owning her own travel agency For over 20 years.
She worked throughout her lifetime as a community leader. She was Founder and President of the “Bronx Puerto Rican Ladies in Action”, working tirelessly for the under-privilege members of the Latino community. Working hand and hand with several Bronx Boro Presidents, Councilmen and NYC Mayors.
Her greatest passion however, was serving in her local church in numerous ministries for the advancement of the Kingdom of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Who’s presence she is in now after hearing Him say… “Well done my good and faithful servant”
She is survived by her 4 children, Son Jose Vazquez, his wife Alicia and his children Victoria, Jason and grandchildren,
Daughter Wanda Rubenstein, her husband Richard, her children Michael, Kelly, Christopher and grandchildren,
Daughter Ilene Edwards, her husband Rand, her children Cynthia, John, Lauren and grandchildren Olivia and Andrew.
Daughter Vilmarie Fraser, her husband Frank, her children Jennifer, Erin And William.
And also many great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her siblings Ada, Victor and Hector Zayas
