Margaret O'Donnell, a lifetime area resident, died on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Garnet Health Center in Middletown. She was 73.
The daughter of the late William J. and Antoinette Bonato O'Donnell, she was born on August 3, 1948 in Middletown, NY. Margaret became a registered nurse and worked for many hospitals and clinics including Camp Laguardia and Horton Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and was a very spiritual lady. She loved Jesus, Elvis and all things Irish. Margaret enjoyed family, friends, shopping and travel. She was a social butterfly and liked playing cards and word searches. She was always upbeat and did things her own way.
Margaret is survived by her brother William O'Donnell and his wife Barbara of Otisville, sister Marylou Bosland and her partner Jason Brennan of Otisville, nieces and nephews, Jeannie O'Donnell, William "Billy" O'Donnell, Kelly O'Donnell, Lucy Wise, Robert "Robbie" Bosland, Willis Bosland and Jonathan Bosland and their families. She was a devoted and proud great aunt to 8 and is survived by her faithful longtime friend and companion, Bill Barsuhn and a brother in law Lee Zoldan.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Joan Zoldan.
Cremation was private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial of Margaret's ashes will take place in the family plot in Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery in Otisville.
